Second Grade Homeschool Week 2

In my life this week...
Hubby and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary! :)

We started our weekly co-op, the explorers.
Knitting group and Cub Scouts started meeting this week as well.
One of our homeschool groups had a meeting this week to plan field trips for the year.
On top of all that, our Pioneer co-op begins this month.  Our schedule is PACKED!

In our homeschool this week…

Math: Double digit addition
Language Arts: Proper Nouns
History: Bible Timeline
Art: Mosaics and Shapes
Science: Human Body (Month Unit Study)
Bean Dissection. Learning about how plants begin.
We had out first latin lesson so
the whole family is singing our latin song. lol

Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…

Hitting up another town for "Learning on Saturday"
We will be getting in some good rest this weekend too.
This has been one busy week!

What is working for us...
We try to make everything a learning experience.
The kids were talking about how long it must take to make all of the proccessed food at the grocery store. We have been watching Unwrapped everyday since then.

My favorite thing this week was…

Then, there is Cub scouts. This is Captain's "thing" but since Hubby and I are den leaders, it turns into a family deal. Sissy gets to be an assistant and Ninja gets in on all the fun.
This week, we did Mentos and Coke. The kids said that was their favorite thing this week.

Oh, I'm a homeschool mom, too! Always fun to "meet" another. :) Love that sage green dresser for storage!
